The design is our tribute to the Merchants of Venice and the surviving maritime community. Signs of the zodiac can be found displayed on the clock tower, Torre dell’Orologio, and in the Doge Palace. A sailor’s survival at sea once depended on the season and what constellation shined above… Perhaps we can channel that connection and deeper reliance today?
